SkyMed is a membership program designed for Americans and Canadians traveling more than 100 air miles from home. Memberships are available from 4 days to 5 years. Coverage includes U.S. including Alaska and Hawaii, Canada, Caribbean, Mexico, Belize, & Costa Rica. Our new Global plan is worldwide.
1-SkyMed takes you ALL THE WAY HOME (not just to the nearest facility capable of treating you).
2- EVEN IF you are already in a facility capable of treating you, SkyMed will still take you home.
3-SkyMed has NO age limit! (All memberships are subject to underwriting and accepted pre-existing conditions are fully covered after only 90 days. All accidents and sudden onset illnesses are covered from the date of enrollment. )
4-SkyMed guarantees you renewal for LIFE – SkyMed never raises your rate, cancels you, requires annual health reports, or limits your travel due to age.
5-The SkyMed Traditional membership, originally designed for travelers within the U.S., Canada, and the Caribbean, allows up to SIX months of your choice in Mexico at NO additional cost!
6.-The SkyMed Nato (Mexico resident) program covers you 24/7/365 in Mexico as well as all over the U.S., Canada, the Caribbean, Belize & Costa Rica, & eliminates the "100 miles from home" requirement to cover you from your own home in Mexico.
SKYMED members pay absolutely NOTHING for an emergency air ambulance; not even a deductible or a co-pay-everything is paid from the hospital where you are first treated all the way to your receiving hospital back home!
We transport you if you suffer a life or organ threatening injury or illness, even a broken hip or a compound fracture. With our “not medically necessary” benefit for transport, which means EVEN IF you can be treated perfectly well where you are first hospitalized; we will still take you home (most programs say “IF YOU CAN’T BE TREATED LOCALLY”...then “TO THE CLOSEST ADEQUATE FACILITY)”.
